Chapter 13

The next day, we went to the studio.

“Hey, John,” Michael greeted him.

“Hey. Who might this lovely lady be?” John smiled at me.

“Thus us my girlfriend, Harmony,” Michael smiled.

“Well, hello, Harmony,” John held out his hand.

“Hi,” I shook his hand and walked away with Michael.

“This is Ola Ray. The girl I’ll be working with,” Michael said as we walked up to her.

“Ola, this is Harmony. Harmony, Ola.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” I said and shook her hand.

“It’s nice to meet you too,” she smiled. “Michael, what are you wearing?” She laughed. I didn’t realize when he was wearing until she said said something.

“I had to wear something for rehearsal,” he laughed.

“Michael, that shirt is adorable,” I poked his shoulder.

“Well, thank you, Harmony,” he pulled me to him and kissed my forehead.

“Stop being so lovey dovey. Come on, Michael. Time to rehearse,” Ola smiled at me, linked elbows with him and walked away. I have to admit I was a little jealous.

They played the demo that Michael had played me.

“Michael,” I called him as they were dancing.

“Yeah? Hold on, guys,” he ran over to me.

“I think I figured out what the song should be called,” I told him and pushed my hair behind my ear.

“What are you nervous about?” He took my hands and held them in his.

“Nothing, why?”

“You pushed your hair behind your ear.”

“Nothing at all. Anyway, I think it should be like um.” Why am I so nervous?!

“Um?” He smiled.

“Something with a thrill, ya know?”

“Thriller?” He said the word and looked down.

“Never mind. It’s stupid.”

“No, it’s not. Hey, Q!” He yelled and began to walk over to him. “Thanks, baby,” he rushed back over to me and kissed my cheek. I smiled at my suggestion. Maybe I made a change about some things.

“Harmony, come here,” Quincy called me and motioned for me to come over. Quincy Jones was calling me over to him. I’m more nervous than ever now.

“Yeah?” My voice shook as I pushed my hair back again.

“You came up with ‘thriller?’”

“Well, I said something with a thrill…”

“So, ‘Thriller?’” He asked again.

“Yeah. I guess.”

“That was a great idea. ‘Starlight’ didn’t sound right anyway. Thank you,” he smiled at me and shook my hand. I blushed.

“Thanks, Harmony,” Michael smiled at me and led me to back to my seat. “I’m gonna take you out tonight,” he told me.

“Take me where?”

“Somewhere for a special treat.”

I watched as they danced and had fun. I listened to the words of the song. “Cause I can thrill ya more than any ghoul could ever dare try.” That sounded quite kinky to me.

“Ready?” Michael asked as he walked over to me and picked up his things.

“Yeah, I have a question,” I told him as we walked out to his car.

“Yeah?”

“What’s ‘Thriller’ really about?”

“Well, thrilling,” he smiled.

“So, sex?” I asked. “If you want to think of it like that. Then sure.”

“Well, the thought came to me because in the song you say, ‘cause I can thrill ya more than any ghoul could ever dare try.’ Sounds quite kinky to me.”

“Oh gosh,” he blushed.

“What?” I asked as I got in the car.

“Nothing,” he laughed and started the car.

“Well, can I ask you something?”

“Sure.”

“Are you a virgin?”

“Well…” he began and laughed.

“Well?” I laughed as well.

“No. Not really, I guess you could say that.”

“Why do you say that?”

“Well, hey! Why are we worrying about my sex life? Are you  a virgin?” He smiled at me.

“Of course. I mean, come on now. Remember you’re my second boyfriend.”

“Ohh.”

“Yeah. So, I’m still a virgin. Back to you.”

“Why do you ask?”

“Well, as good as you look…”

“Really?” He laughed.

“Well, yeah!”

“Wow. I didn’t know I looked that good.”

“You do,” I said nervously.

“Thank you.”

“So, anyway. Where to?”

“It’s a surprise, my beautiful Harmony.”

“Okay, Michael.”
